This website is run by Kevin Klem, trading as Kevin Klem Marketing. If you have any question about your information, email me at kevin@kevinklem.com and I'll answer it myself.
What I collect
- What you type into my forms, like your name, email, website, what your business does and your answers to the application questions.
- Your booking details when you pick a time for a call, which Calendly collects for me: your name, email, the time you chose and any answers you add.
- How you use the site, like the pages you visit, what you click, how far you scroll, which videos you watch, your device and browser, and your rough location based on your internet connection. I also record anonymous replays of visits to see where the pages are unclear, and anything typed into form fields is hidden in those replays.
- Which business you are, if you arrived through a personal link I sent you with a video, because that link includes your business name.
- Emails and messages you send me.
Why I use it
- To reply to you, prepare your free audit or your call, and run the call.
- To contact you about a call you've booked, by email or message.
- To understand how people use the site so I can make it clearer.
I never sell your information, and I don't use it for advertising.
I use your information because you've given it to me to get an audit or book a call, because it's needed to take steps you've asked for before we work together, and because I have a legitimate interest in running and improving my website.
Who helps me run the site
A few trusted services handle information for me, and only for the job they do:
- Netlify hosts the website and stores what you send through the forms (United States).
- PostHog measures how the site is used, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Wistia plays the videos on the site (United States).
- Calendly handles call bookings (United States).
- Google Fonts provides the fonts the site uses (United States).
- My email provider, for emails between us.
Some of these services store information in other countries, including the United States. Where that happens, they use the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and similar storage
PostHog stores a small identifier in your browser so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. Wistia and Calendly may set their own when you play a video or book a call. You can block or clear these in your browser settings, and the site will still work. To stop the site measuring your visits on a device, open kevinklem.com/?kk=off on that device.
How long I keep it
If we don't end up working together, I delete your enquiry and application details within two years. If you become a client, I keep what the law requires me to keep for my business records. Visit data in PostHog is kept for up to a year.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to see the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, send you a copy, or stop using it. Email kevin@kevinklem.com and I'll sort it within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle your information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
